WELCOME TO MY HOMEPAGE!
My first experience with claywork came in 1980, at a workshop in Antibes, France. At this time I was working primarly with watercolors and oils, but I was interested in trying pottery. I felt the marriage of painting with the added dimensions of the clay’s texture and mall ability would allow me to express myself more completely. During the period between 1984 and 1991 I was very lucky to be able to work as a journalist and travel extensively througout Europe and Africa. My exposure to these rich and varied cultures, I feel, has had a tremendous impact on my style and vision.
My style was not consciously chosen, but evolved that I got closer to my work and found the syntax necessary to express my ideas. For me, the studied techniques of more formalized art have been always inhibative. My experiences, my personality and the relationship to my surroundings are best expressed in this style. I hope that while viewing my work, you might also feel a connection to a more spiritual and universal world that I feel is in all of us.MALUBA CERAMIC ARTThe beautifull studio of the artist Maluba is located in CUPRAMONTANA. The idyllic village is one of the most authentic places in the region Le Marche. The artist studio lies on a little hill with a fantastic view over rolling hills and oliv trees. The romantic garden is very inspiring and invites you to be creative. The killn is efficient enough to fire big pieces.
